Education NSWÂ introduces Corindi Public School in Corindi Beach, for all your education and learning needs.
Corindi Public School serves the villages of Corindi and Red Rock as well as the communities of Halfway Creek and the Range. The school is located in a rainforest and bushland setting with extensive playing fields and 2 large COLAS available for a range of activities. Corindi is categorised as a Priority School, attracting additional funds to provide staff training, resources and teaching days in offering equitable opportunity and access to quality education to all students. The school is a focal point in the community and mutual respect is evident among staff, parents and students. Corindi is also heavily involved in community events including an annual Spring Fair, Senior Citizens' luncheon(our 30th this year)and Red Shield Appeal. The school also maintains close links with our local Gumbaynggirr people through regular participation and initiatives to mark NAIDOC Week. Housing development in the area in recent years has seen enrolments increase to over 160 enabling the school to form a 7th class as well as the Principal's position being made non teaching although lack of employment in the area has slowed the school's growth. The school now boasts interactive whiteboards and air conditioning in all classrooms as well as the library. A connected classsroom has also been installed in the Year 6 room.Welcome to Corindi Public School one of the popular educators in your Corindi Beach area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
